How To: Celebrity Baby Names

Looking for a creative and unique baby name for your incoming bundle of joy?  Sick and tired of all the traditional Brittneys, Zachs, Amys, and Joshs?  Do you want your child to be able to go through life without having their last initial tacked onto their name?  Do you want your child to stand out from all the  Bellas, Jacobs, Sophias, and Williams?  Then look no further!  I present to you:
Shera's How To Guide for Naming Your Child Like a Celebrity!

People in today's culture are fascinated with Hollywood names!  Think of David and Victoria Beckham's four children, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper Seven. What about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes daughter Suri? Or the Pitt-Jolie clan: Zahara, Maddox, Shiloh, Pax, Knox, and Vivienne.
Your children's names can be special too, even if you don't have a Hollywood star!

Be fun, be creative, be inspired! You have options!

1. Use a dictionary - like Mark Ruffalo's son Keen
The dictionary provides a variety of creative names such as, Gastrovascular  or Onomatopoeia!
Simply pick up a Webster's and browse though till you find a word that fits your child.

2. Use a food that makes you happy - like Chris Martin and Gweneth Paltrov's daughter Apple
Everyone has a favorite meal, now you can name your child after your comfort food.
There are so many options in this category, Quesadilla, Sushi, or how about Rutabaga? Let your imagination (or rather your taste-buds,) run wild!

3. Use a name that plays on your last names - like Rob Morrow's daughter Tu
For example if your last name is Walker you could name your son, Luke Sky! Or if your last name is Stein you could name your son, Frank N.! Say your last name is Bird then a real winner for your son might be Earl E.!
And if you have a daughter? Well if your last name is Paine you could name your daughter Cam! For a last name such as Thorne, try a softer first name, like Rose! And what if you want to name your daughter Ella? Just make sure your last name is either Vader or Phant for a real winner!

4. Use a name from nature - like Forest Whitaker's son Ocean or Pink's daughter Willow Sage
It's not just hippies that pull inspiration from the great outdoors!
For the boys there is Spruce, Mandrill, or Kookaburra!
For the girls, Meadow, Tsunami, or Axolotl!

5. Use a color - like Beyonce and Jay-Z's daughter Blue Ivy
Simply crack open a box of crayons and you are one shade away from finding the baby name of your dreams! Electric Lime, Mauvelous and Purple Mountain's Majesty, are all crayon names that have graced my coloring books.

6. Use an occupation - like Christie Brinkley's daughter Sailor or Jason Lee's son Pilot Inspektor
Already have a future planned out for them? Give them a name that will set them on the right path!
Doctor, or even Bounty Hunter may be some careers you would like your child to consider!
7. Use a comic book character - Like Nicolas Cage's son Kal-El
Some winners may be, Elektra, Starfire, Lois Lane, J Jonah Jameson, Dr. Doom, or Deadpool!
8. Use a country - like Alicia Key's son Egypt
It could be where you are from, or maybe if you adopted, where your child was from. It could be a place you love to go or a country you've always wanted to visit.
Some classics like Denmark or Italy or even some names not so common like Czechoslovakia, Zimbabwe, or Bangladesh
And there you have it!
